Reiki - Not Covered By Insurance
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique using a gentle, non-manipulative therapy that uses non-invasive gentle touch, focusing on the body's chakras, or energy centers. Reiki treats the whole person, (body, mind, and spirit), and has many beneficial effects. It's based on the idea that a person's energy levels affect their health and happiness. Energy healing can give a person the sense of feeling lighter, freer, confident, grounded with more focus and concentration. It can make us less reactive to everyday events and better able to deal with stress in our lives.

Reiki is not a cure for illness or disease.
A typical Reiki session lasts for 60 minutes dependant on the client. The Reiki practitioner channels the energy through gentle touching using a series of hand positions on or above the person’s body encouraging self-healing, helping the body's natural healing ability. Most people experience deep relaxation, release of tension, comforting warmth or heat, pleasant tingling sensations as the energy moves through their body. Some even report a light floating feeling or see dream-like images or physical colours during the healing.
To prepare for a Reiki healing treatment it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes, avoid alcohol, and get plenty of rest beforehand. Having a snack or light meal in advance is also recommended, although it is not mandatory.
